Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is a Mobile Notary?
A mobile notary is a licensed notary public who travels to your location—home, office, hospital, or other meeting place—to notarize your documents. Unlike traditional notary services, which require you to go to an office during business hours, a mobile notary in Toronto, Vaughan, Markham, North York, and surrounding areas comes to you at a time that’s convenient, including evenings, weekends, and late nights.
2. Do you offer 24/7 emergency notary services?
Yes. We specialize in after-hours notary services and can provide a 24/7 emergency notary for urgent situations. Whether it’s a late-night notary in Toronto, an overnight notary in Vaughan, or an early morning notary in Markham, we’re available when most offices are closed.
3. Can I come to you for notarization and save the travel fees?
Yes, absolutely. Our team can meet you within 1 km of the Promenade Mall for no charge.
4. What types of documents can you notarize?
We can notarize a wide range of documents, including:
- Affidavits and statutory declarations
- Travel consent letters for minors
- Powers of attorney
- Real estate and mortgage documents
- Business contracts
- Certified true copies of documents
- Wills and estate documents (as permitted by law)
If you’re unsure whether your document requires notarization, contact us and we’ll guide you.
5. What identification do I need for a notary appointment?
You must present valid, government-issued photo identification. Commonly accepted IDs include Canadian passport, driver’s license, provincial photo ID card, or permanent resident card. For certain documents, two pieces of ID may be required.
6. How much do notary services cost?
Our notary fees are competitive and reflect the convenience of mobile and after-hours service. Pricing includes standard notarization fees (per document or signature), travel fees based on location, and late-night or emergency surcharges for services requested after 7 PM, overnight, or on holidays.
7. Which areas do you serve?
We provide mobile notary services across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), including Toronto, Vaughan, Markham, Thornhill, North York, and Richmond Hill. Contact us if you are located outside these areas.
8. How quickly can you come for an emergency notary appointment?
In many cases, we can be at your location within 30–60 minutes depending on your area. Our emergency notary service is designed to help with urgent situations, such as last-minute travel documents or real estate closings.
9. Can you notarize documents over Zoom or online?
We do not offer remote notarization.
10. Why don’t you offer remote notarization?
Although remote notarization is permitted in Ontario, many other jurisdictions will still not accept remote notarizations as binding at this time. We only offer in-person notarization to ensure the best possible service for our clients.
11. I need a document commissioned. Can you do that?
Yes. The rates are the same as for notarization services.
12. Do you work with law firms and businesses?
Yes. We regularly assist law firms, corporations, and real estate professionals who require notarization after regular hours or on short notice. We also provide services for international clients who need notarized documents for use outside Canada.
13. How do I book an appointment?
You can book a mobile notary appointment by calling, texting, or sending us a message through our contact page. For urgent or after-hour requests, please call us by clicking here or by dialing 647-848-3155. Please have ready the type of document you need notarized, your location, and preferred time (same-day, late-night, or scheduled).
14. Why should I use an after-hours notary instead of waiting until morning?
Life doesn’t always happen between 9 and 5. Our clients choose us because they need documents signed right away—whether it’s for emergency travel, a real estate deal closing, or time-sensitive legal paperwork. Some clients also work non-traditional business hours and find it more convenient to book an appointment at night rather than trying to make it to a notary office.
15. Are your notarized documents legally valid?
Yes. As a licensed Notary Public in Ontario, all notarizations are legally recognized in Canada and internationally (depending on destination country requirements). For documents being used outside Canada, you may also need authentication and legalization.
